Repairing toilet flange on concrete floor.

Remove the broken area from the flange to be repaired using a hacksaw. To replace a toilet flange lay newspaper down on the floor around the toilet and turn off the water to the toilet before flushing and siphoning all of the water out of the bowl. With the toilet flange in place you are ready to install the toilet with a new wax ring. Bring it to a local home depot store for help determining if you need a pvc copper iron or aluminum replacement toilet flange.

Screwdriver use a multi bit screwdriver to loosen screws and remove the toilet. Slip your repair flange spanner under the toilet flange but replace a toilet bolt in the concrete floor through the hole in your spanner for easy toilet reinstallation. If using a plastic flange ring be careful not to crack the ring by screwing the anchors in too far. You need to clean the area around the bottom of the toilet and then place a new wax ring on the repaired flange.

Wrench this is needed to unfasten the existing bolts on your toilet and around the flange. Slip the repair flange spanner under the broken toilet flange but put one of the toilet bolts through the hole in the spanner first in order to easily reinstall the toilet. Pick the toilet up again and line up the replaced toilet bolts in the concrete floor with the sides of the bowl then place the toilet down gently onto the repaired flange. Toilet flange bolts have new bolts on hand in case your existing parts are stripped or rusty.

Wax ring this secures the flange to the base of the toilet. Yesterday while making my rounds a tenant in one of the apartments approached me and mentioned their toilet was loose. A rocking toilet over time will break. Then remove the toilet by disconnecting the hoses and unscrewing the bolts on the floor.
