Spotlight cam no longer charging by solar panel from what i understand the mention of solar panels in the app is just an ad to buy a solar panel and does not signify whether or not the camera can detect a solar panel is plugged in and that was only added to the ios app. I have purchased the solar panel and the stick up camera and the battery is not charging. Spotlight cam battery not charging with solar panel even better would be an indication in the ring app that the device is even being charged by the solar panel. If the camera is still not powering on hold the setup button for 20 seconds.

Sometimes it shows that it s connected to the solar but mostly it says to extend the battery life with a solar panel which of course it is connected to. You may need to try a different power outlet or micro usb charging cable if there are no charging lights lighting up on the battery. Ultimate win would be for the app to be able to show the voltage being delivered by the panel so we can see if it needs to be oriented better. The stick up cam isn t connecting to wifi.
